The airline has officially moved its operations to Frankfurt Airport's recently opened Terminal 3 on May 5, 2026, bringing Air Astana passengers into one of the airport's newest facilities. Where Passengers Need to Go: For check-in, baggage drop, and self-service kiosks, passengers flying with Air Astana should now go to Zone 34 inside Terminal 3. The airline says travelers are encouraged to use the self-service facilities to make the airport process quicker and easier, especially during busy summer travel weeks. The airline has formally moved its operations to the airport's recently opened Terminal 3 as of May 5, 2026.
Air Astana travelers will now be able to use one of Frankfurt Airport's newest facilities as part of the airport's larger expansion plans.
Where Travelers Must Go
For self-service kiosks, luggage drop, and check-in, passengers traveling with Air Astana should now proceed to Zone 34 within Terminal 3.
According to the airline, passengers are urged to utilize the self-service options to expedite and simplify the airport process, particularly during peak summer travel weeks.
There is also a new lounge option for high-end travelers. After passport control, business class travelers and Nomad Club Gold and Diamond members can enter the fifth-floor Priority Lounge.
This summer, more flights to Frankfurt
For the summer of 2026, Air Astana has expanded flights to Frankfurt in addition to the terminal overhaul. The revised timetable looks like this:
Astana to Frankfurt flights every day
Mondays, Thursdays, and Saturdays are the three weekly flights from Almaty.
Weekly flights from Uralsk are still in operation.
Travelers have additional options between Kazakhstan and Germany during the busiest travel time because to the extended schedule.
