Belarus allows 38 European nations to enter without a visa till the end of 2026.

Belarus has extended its visa-free program for 38 European countries until 2026, allowing visitors to stay longer without further documentation. Additionally, the nation's new e-visa system, which is attracting applicants from all over the world, is generating consistent interest.

Belarus has made the decision to extend its visa-free travel policy for Europeans. The program started in July 2024 and was initially scheduled to expire in December 2024, but it was later extended until the end of 2025. The deadline has now been extended once more by a fresh presidential decree, this time until December 31, 2026.

Who Is Eligible for the Visa-Free Program?

38 European nationals do not need a visa to enter Belarus. They can fly into the nation's airports or arrive via any international road or rail stop. A legitimate travel document is all they require.
Most visitors are able to stay for up to 30 days at a time. A few people are an exception. Poles, Lithuanians, Latvians, and non-citizens of Latvia may remain for up to ninety days.
There is no cap on the number of visits to Belarus, but the total amount of time spent there cannot be more than ninety days in a single calendar year. As long as the traveler is not going to Russia, transit is also permitted.
Diplomatic or service passport holders are not covered by the visa-free policy. Biometric diplomatic passports issued by EU nations are the lone exemption, as they are already covered by a different agreement between the EU and Belarus.

It has been used by over 1.2 million Europeans.

There is no doubt that the program has increased travel. Since 2024, almost 1.24 million Europeans have entered Belarus without a visa, according to the country's border office.

The majority of visitors were from neighboring nations:
Latvia: 399,842
Lithuania: 658,575
130,089 in Poland

An additional 54,845 visits were made by tourists from the remaining 35 qualifying nations. Among them, about 22,000 were German nationals. Over 210,000 visitors from these nations have already arrived in 2025 alone.

Belarus's New E-Visa is also expanding.

In March 2025, Belarus began providing travelers from 67 countries with an electronic visa in addition to the visa-free travel option. This contains a number of European countries.
Since the debut on March 20, over 1,500 e-visas have been issued, according to the National Center for Electronic Services. A diverse range of nations are submitting applications, including:
Canada, Japan, Germany, and the United States
France, Italy, and Australia
Spain and the United Kingdom
This indicates considerable and increasing interest, according to officials.

An Emphasis on Growth in Tourism
According to Belarusian officials, the objective is to make the nation more welcoming and comfortable for foreign visitors. They highlight the government's efforts to provide a secure and friendly travel experience while highlighting the nation's kindness and hospitality.
