DigiYatra is now operational at 30 airports in India after expanding to six more: Complete List

With the addition of six new airports, DigiYatra currently operates in 30 locations across the country. This is the full list of airport codes, along with the latest information on Flybraries, Kids Zones, free Wi-Fi, Udan Yatri cafés, and app downloads.

DigiYatra is rapidly transforming the airport experience in India, and frequent travelers are beginning to notice the changes.

India just added six more airports to DigiYatra, a facial recognition-based boarding system, to make it even better. Passenger amenities like free Wi-Fi, inexpensive cafés, Kids Zones, and airport libraries are expanding concurrently.

DigiYatra is now operational at six new airports.

The following airports have begun using the facial recognition system:
Airport in Surat (STV)
Airport in Vijayapura (VDY)
International Airport of Mangaluru (IXE)
Airport Thiruvananthapuram International (TRV)
International Airport Navi Mumbai (NMI)
The Nagpur (NAG) Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar International Airport

As a result, DigiYatra is now accessible at up to 30 Indian airports.

Instead of repeatedly presenting a physical ID, the system enables travelers to pass through airport entry and security checks using facial recognition.

Downloads of the DigiYatra App Reach 1.9 Crore

The growth has been rapid. The DigiYatra app had over 1.9 crore downloads by November 2025. By contrast, at the end of 2023, it had only 38 lakh downloads.

In fewer than two years, that is a significant leap.

This tells you something straightforward. Contactless entrance is becoming more popular among travelers, particularly frequent flyers who desire quicker airport transit.

Udan Yatri Café: Reasonably Priced Airport Cuisine

Airport meal costs are frequently a source of annoyance. Udan Yatri Café can help with that. There are now new cafés at:
Surat (STV) Coimbatore (CJB)
Mumbai (BOM)
TRV, or Thiruvananthapuram
Mangaluru (IXE)

The costs are straightforward and reasonable:
Tea: 10 rupees
Coffee costs Rs 20.
Samosa: 20 rupees
Water bottle: 10 rupees

This is a pleasant respite from exorbitant airport fees for frequent travelers.
Flybraries, children's areas, and free Wi-Fi
Attention is also being paid to passenger comfort.
There are presently 39 airports with free Wi-Fi.
Seven airports have implemented Kids Zones.

With the addition of five new airports, flybraries are now accessible at 21.

Flybrary is a straightforward idea. At the airport, pick up a book, read it, and then put it back. You can even bring it with you and give it back later. Additionally, travelers might give books to others to read.
Although it's a simple concept, it adds significance to waiting time.

The Implications for Passengers
This is the useful lesson.
Downloading the app can help you save time at entrance gates if you're flying from one of the 30 DigiYatra airports. The biggest winners will be frequent travelers.

Improved amenities and reasonably priced cafés also indicate a move toward airports that are more passenger-friendly.

Indian airports are gradually getting simpler to use, less stressful, and marginally less expensive. And that has a significant impact on frequent travelers.
