India Opens Six New Consular Offices in Australia; Online Appointments Are Required
Six new Consular Application Centers from India have been established in Adelaide, Brisbane, Canberra, Melbourne, Perth, and Sydney. Appointments must be made online.
There are now six additional locations for Indians residing in Australia to get passports, visas, and other consular services. Adelaide, Brisbane, Canberra, Melbourne, Perth, and Sydney now have new Indian Consular Application Centers (ICACs).
Many Indian people who previously had fewer service stations to choose from are anticipated to have shorter travel times as a result of the expansion of India's consular network in Australia.
There are now six upgraded Indian consular centers.
The following Indian Consular Application Centers (ICACs) will offer Indian Consular, Passport and Visa (CPV) services starting on July 23, 2026:

What Services Are Offered?
On behalf of the High Commission of India and the Indian Consulates General in Australia, the centers offer a variety of Indian Consular, Passport, and Visa (CPV) services, such as passport renewals, passport-related applications, visa services, and other consular requests.
What Indians Should Know About This
With frequent flights between places like Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Australia via Air India, Qantas, Singapore Airlines, Malaysia Airlines, and other one-stop carriers, Australia is home to one of the fastest-growing Indian populations.
More service centers should result in shorter travel times for regular consular work and improved access to passport and document services for Indian passport holders who live, study, or work in Australia. Additionally, as demand from the diaspora keeps growing, India is gradually modernizing and expanding its network of abroad consulates.
