Oman Air adds more flights and cancels flights to nine cities until March 8.

Due to airspace restrictions, Oman Air has canceled flights to a number of locations from March 6–8. In order to help impacted travelers, the airline has added additional services on important international routes, such as London, Mumbai, Bangkok, and Cairo.

Oman Air passengers may need to change their itinerary this week. Between March 6 and 8, 2026, the airline canceled a number of flights because aircraft routes are still impacted by ongoing airspace closures throughout the Middle East.

Regional airspace constraints that have compelled airlines to cancel or reroute services are the cause of the inconvenience. Numerous routes have been temporarily suspended, although many flights are still in operation.

Other Operating Flights
According to the airline, all other flights are currently running on time. But things are still up in the air. Delays or last-minute schedule modifications are still conceivable because airspace limitations can change suddenly.
It's a good idea to check the status of your flight before leaving for the airport if you will be traveling soon.

Additional Flights on Important International Routes
Oman Air has also planned extra flights on a number of well-traveled routes to help manage the disruption and provide accommodations for stranded travelers.
Additional services will run between Muscat and:
London Heathrow Airport: March 7–16
Istanbul: March 9–16
Bangkok: March 8–15
Kuala Lumpur: March 8–11
Cairo: March 8–15
Mumbai: March 7–8

Passengers who were impacted by cancellations or who require alternate travel options are anticipated to benefit from these additional flights.

Crucial Guidance for Passengers Crossing Land Borders
Additionally, the airline cautioned travelers who intended to cross a land border in order to get to Muscat for their journey.

There is still a lot of traffic at border crossings, and immigration procedures could take longer than normal. To prevent missing their flight, travelers are urged to arrive at the border at least 12 hours prior to the scheduled departure time.

What Travelers Need to Do Right Now
Take these easy measures if you have an Oman Air travel scheduled in the near future:
Before you leave the house, check the status of your flight.
Give yourself more time to go to the airport.
If your flight has been canceled, get in touch with the airline.
If there are other flights available, think about rebooking on them.

Schedules may vary fast because airspace limitations in the area are still being developed.

For now, the best strategy to prevent last-minute surprises is to stay informed and give yourself extra time to travel.
