SWISS Expands India Network With New Zurich to Bengaluru Route

SWISS Expands India Network With New Zurich to Bengaluru Route

SWISS is adding Bengaluru to its global network with new direct flights from Zurich starting in the 2026/27 winter season. The new five-times-weekly route strengthens air connectivity between Switzerland and southern India while targeting growing business and leisure travel demand.

Once more, Swiss International Air Lines is growing its network in India. For the winter of 2026–2027, the airline has announced a new direct route between Zurich and Bengaluru, which will be its first service to southern India.

Bengaluru will be the airline's third Indian destination after Delhi and Mumbai thanks to the new route, which will run five times a week.

Schedule of SWISS Flights from Bengaluru to Zurich

The new LX140 trip from Zurich to Bengaluru will run every day, with the exception of Mondays and Wednesdays, according to the flight schedule released by SWISS. It will leave Zurich at 13:20 and reach Bengaluru the following day at 02:55.

With the exception of Tuesdays and Thursdays, the return LX141 flight from Bengaluru to Zurich will operate every day. It leaves at 04:50 and arrives in Zurich at 10:50.

Flight Path Departure and Arrival Days
LX140 Zurich to Bengaluru 13:20–02:55 (+1 day) every day except Monday and Wednesday LX141 Bengaluru to Zurich 04:50–10:50 every day except Tuesday and Thursday

It will take about nine hours to complete the flight.

According to SWISS CEO Jens Fehlinger, the airline views Bengaluru as a crucial entry point to southern India and a popular travel destination for those with ties to the technology industry.

There Will Be More Airbus A350 Flights

Additionally, SWISS is increasing the usage of its new Airbus A350 aircraft throughout its long-haul network.

The airline intends to introduce A350 services to Johannesburg and Shanghai during the winter schedule season, following the introduction of the aircraft on routes to Boston and Seoul.

The aircraft will include the airline's revised "SWISS Senses" cabin offering, which features improved in-flight comfort and redesigned seats for all travel classes.

Network Plans for Winter 2026–2027

According to the airline, during the winter of 2026–2027, it will serve 88 destinations from Zurich and Geneva. From Zurich alone, there are 24 intercontinental and 60 European routes.

However, due to persistent aircraft and engine part shortages impacting the Airbus A220 fleet, certain Geneva services will be discontinued. There will be no flights from Geneva to Berlin, Hamburg, or Pristina in the winter.

The winter schedule for 2026–2027 will run from October 25, 2026, to March 27, 2027.
