Vietjet Thailand Introduces INR 1 Fare Sale and Expands India-Bangkok Flights
In addition to a temporary INR 1 fare offer, Vietjet Thailand is growing its network in India by adding four weekly flights from Kolkata to Bangkok starting in July and daily flights from Mumbai to Bangkok starting in August.
As Vietjet Thailand increases its operations in India and replenishes capacity throughout its network, Indian tourists traveling to Thailand will soon have additional flying alternatives.
Starting on August 1, 2026, Vietjet Thailand's Mumbai-Bangkok route will operate daily flights instead of just four per week. In the meanwhile, starting on July 1, 2026, flights from Kolkata to Bangkok will run four times a week.
With Vietjet Thailand's expanding route network, Indian travelers would have simpler access to Bangkok and improved connections throughout Thailand and Southeast Asia.India Routes: INR 1 Fare Sale
Vietjet Thailand has started a promotional sale to support the growth, with base rates starting at just INR 1 one-way on flights from Mumbai and Kolkata to BangkokTravelers must make their reservations within a specific eight-day timeframe in order to benefit from the INR 1 special pricing. Because of its short flight times, affordable prices, and simpler admission processes than many long-haul locations, Thailand continues to be one of the most popular overseas travel destinations for Indian tourists.
Another indication that airlines are reacting to long-term demand rather than transient vacation traffic is the resumption of daily flights between Bangkok and Mumbai. Over the past year, capacity between India and Thailand has been gradually increasing, and carriers obviously anticipate that trend to continue.Growth in the Fleet Facilitates Expansion
According to the airline, as passenger demand increases, more frequencies are also being added to a number of local and international routes.
In the second half of 2026, Vietjet Thailand anticipates receiving 16 Boeing 737-8 aircraft, increasing its fleet to 29 by the end of the year. The carrier will be able to expand its network by adding new routes and raising frequencies thanks to the larger fleet.
