Bhubaneswar (Arrival)
Get to the hotel after arriving at the Bhubaneswar airport or train station. Explore historic temples like as the 64 Yogini temple, Mukteswar, Rajarani, and Lingaraj, the largest temple in Bhubaneswar. Free throughout the evening for own pursuits. Spend the night in Bhubaneswar.
Bhubaneswar - Konark - Puri (120 kms / 2 hrs 30 min)
After breakfast, head to Puri, stopping along the way to see the Sun temple interpretive center at Konark (a UNESCO World Heritage site), the Dhauli Buddhist stupa, and the Pipli appliqué market. After passing Chandrabhaga Beach, arrive at the hotel and check in. Visit the temple of Lord Jagannath, one of the four Dhams in Hinduism. Visit Koili Baikuntha, the Anandabazar, the large kitchen, and various shrines dedicated to gods and goddesses. Spend the evening at Golden Beach and spend the night in Puri. (B)
Excursion trip to Chilika (55 kms / 1 hr 25 min)
Take an excursion to Satapada after breakfast. Discover Sea Mouth, Rajhans Island, Irrawaddy dolphins, native wildlife, and more while taking a motorboat ride in Asia's largest brackish water lagoon. Visit the Raghurajpur Artist Village en route back to Puri. Visit Blue Flag Beach and Niladri Beach later. Spend the night at Puri. (B)
Puri - Chilika - Gopalpur (225 kms / 4 hrs 30 min)
After breakfast, go to Gopalpur and stop at Mangalajodi, Asia's bird paradise. Take a country boat cruise and look for bird sightings. Alternatively, travel from the Barkul end of Chilika to Kalijai Temple and Kalijai Island. Check into the hotel upon arrival. Spend the night in Gopalpur.
Gopalpur - Chandragiri - Gopalpur (195 kms / 5 hrs)
Take an excursion trip to Chandragiri after breakfast. One of the biggest Buddhist monasteries in Southeast Asia is the Udrang monastery. Travel across the hot sulfur water stream of Taptapani. Visit the Padmanavpur cotton weaving village on route back to Gopalpur. Free throughout the evening for own pursuits. Spend the night in Gopalpur. (B)
Gopalpur - Bhubaneswar (200 kms / 3 hrs 30 min)
Head to Bhubaneswar after breakfast. Visit the Tribal Museum, Kala Bhoomi, a craft museum, and the Jain temples and caves at Khandagiri and Udayagiri (both closed on Mondays and government holidays). You might go shopping at the neighborhood market later. Spend the night in Bhubaneswar. (B)
Bhubaneswar (Departure)
After breakfast, go to the Nandankanan Zoological Park, which is closed on Mondays and is well-known for its white tigers. Transfer on time to the airport or train station to continue your journey. (B)
