Day 1/ Bhubaneswar (Arrival):
Arrive at Bhubaneswar airport/ railway station & transfer to hotel. Visit the ancient temples like Lingaraj-the biggest temple in Bhubaneswar, Mukteswar, Rajarani, & 64 Yogini temple. Evening free for independent activities. Overnight in Bhubaneswar.
Day 2/ Bhubaneswar - Bhitarkanika N.P (170 kms/3 hrs 30 min):
After breakfast, drive to Bhitarkanika N.P. On arrival board on boat and cruise in different creeks of Bhitarkanika NP to spot crocodiles, different birds, Mangrove Forest, etc. Visit Bagagahana-bird sanctuary, Sikarakathi-the hunting tower of an ancient king, and Shiv temple. Later, visit the crocodile breeding centre; and museum at Dangamal. You can see Deer and water lizards in and around your cottage. Overnight in Bhitarkanika. (B, D)
Day 3/ Bhitarkanika NP - Bhubaneswar (260 kms/ 5hrs)
After breakfast, drive back to Bhubaneswar. En route visit through Lalitgiri- Ratnagiri-Udayagiri Buddhist circuit, popularly known as the Diamond Triangle of Odisha. Explore the Stupas, Chaityas, Viharas etc. Lalitgiri is the oldest Buddhist complex in the state and one of the earliest Buddhist establishments in the world. Visit the museum at Ratnagiri & Lalitgiri (close on Friday). Overnight in Bhubaneswar. (B)
Day 4/ Bhubaneswar (Departure):
After breakfast, if time permits visit to Khandagiri & Udayagiri Jain caves, Tribal Museum/ Kala Bhoomi-a craft museum (both close on Monday & govt holidays) OR visit Nandankanan Zoological Popular for white tiger (close on Monday). In-time transfer to airport/railway station for onward journey. (B)
