FAQs

1.Is a transit visa required if I’m just passing through Spain?

If you are staying within the international transit area of a Spanish airport and not entering the Schengen zone, a transit visa may not be required for many nationalities. However, some nationalities (e.g. India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Ghana, Nigeria) need an Airport Transit Visa (ATV) even if they don’t leave the airport.

2. Is travel insurance mandatory for a Spain visa?

Yes. You must show Schengen travel insurance with a minimum of €30,000 coverage, valid in all Schengen countries for the full duration of your stay.
