Overview
Travelers wishing to visit Iceland for business, tourism, or brief trips must make an appointment with the Iceland VFS for a short-stay visa. In addition to completing the visa application, applicants must schedule a VFS appointment and provide biometrics and supporting documentation. Generally speaking, the short-stay visa permits a stay in the Schengen Area of up to ninety days.

No, business travelers also apply for a Schengen Type C visa, specifying business as the purpose.
2. Do I need a transit visa for Iceland?
Airport transit visa (Type A) is required only for nationals of specific countries when transiting through Schengen airports. If you exit the airport or need to change terminals that require immigration clearance, a Schengen visa (Type C) is required.
