India Closes Four Consular Service Centers in the UAE. From October 22
India will close four consular service centers in the UAE on October 22, 2026, although passport, visa, and attestation services will continue at 12 locations.
Indian expats in the UAE will need to use alternative venues for consular, passport, visa, and attestation services after four Indian Consular Application Centers (ICACs) close on October 22, 2026.
The Indian Embassy's notification on October 21 indicates that services outsourced to Al Hind Tours & Travels will continue through 12 centers around the UAE, following the closure of four facilities for administrative reasons.
Which Indian Consular Centers are Closing?
The following four centers will suspend services beginning October 22:
Musaffah: Capital Mall, Mohammed Bin Zayed City, Abu Dhabi
Al Reem: Wafra Square Offices, Al Reem Island, Abu Dhabi
Dubai Investment Park-I: Green Community Village, Dubai
Sharjah Al Majaz: Bell Rashid Towers, Al Majaz 1, Sharjah
Applicants who have previously visited these centers should check the nearest remaining location before traveling to submit an application.
Where Can Indians Get Services Now?
The twelve operations centers are spread across Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, Madinat Zayed, Ghayathi, Bur Dubai, Sharjah, Ajman, Umm Al Quwain, Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah, Kalba, and Khor Fakkan.
Services will continue at these sites beginning October 22. The notice makes no mention of any changes to the services supplied or application fees.
For Indian people living in the UAE, the immediate concern is convenience. Those who use the four discontinued centers may face longer journeys, especially if their new center is in another emirate.

Travunited Take:
We perceive this as an administrative reorganization rather than a shift in consular policy. To prevent wasting time and making needless travels, Indian applicants should confirm their nearest operational center before traveling.
